The 50-47 New York Yankees lost their fourth consecutive game on Wednesday.
Their record to this point is more mediocre than horrible, but consider this: the Yanks haven’t finished a season with a record below .500 since 1992.
They are in danger of reaching that point.
On Wednesday, Carlos Rodon was the starter for the Yankees and he couldn’t keep the Los Angeles Angels offense at bay.
He lost after allowing six runs on four hits and five walks while striking out three batters in 4.1 innings.
He is 0-3 since returning from his back issues.
Frustrated Yankees fans were chirping at him from the stands.
Rodon, disappointed at himself and also frustrated by his performance, blew them a kiss.
It was, of course, a sarcastic kiss.
After the game, he explained his reaction.
“’Yeah I blew a kiss. I guess it was the best reaction I could give. But better not to give a reaction I guess.’ -Carlos Rodón,” Talkin’ Yanks tweeted.

Athletes are required to show some emotion, or else they would be pointed at for not caring enough.
At the same time, they are also required to ignore everything that comes from outside the diamond, or else they are controversial and rude.
These are human beings, too.
They are not perfect and sometimes they have to find the healthiest ways to let the anger out.
Manager Aaron Boone said he would love for Rodon not to do that, but he understands the pitcher was frustrated.
It’s another chapter of the Yankees’ rocky season to this point.
