Shortstop Carlos Correa was drafted by the Houston Astros in 2012, made his MLB debut in 2015, and was an important part of the team that made three World Series in a span of five seasons from 2017 to 2021, winning one.
So if he is talking about baseball and happens to make a mistake and refer to the Astros as his team, or to some of their players as his teammates, let’s give him a break.
The mind plays tricks on us all the time.
Correa is no exception.
Look at what happened to him while analyzing the American League Championship Series between the Astros and the New York Yankees.
“‘I gotta give some love to my catch- to their catcher…’ Carlos Correa can’t quit the #Astros,” @Bags4HoF tweeted.

Correa was talking about Martin Maldonado, who was his teammate on the Astros for nearly all of his career.
He Is Still An Astro At Heart
After winning the Gold Glove and making it to the World Series last year in Houston, he decided to take another offer and leave via free agency.
The talented infielder signed a three-year, $105.3 million pact with the Minnesota Twins, but with one caveat: he had opt-out clauses after each year.
After completing a solid season in Minnesota (.291/.366/.467 with 22 home runs and some strong defense at short) he decided to take another shot at free agency during the offseason.
Technically, Correa is already a free agent.
He seems to still have a soft spot for the Astros, but their infield is currently full with Alex Bregman, Yuli Gurriel, Jose Altuve, and surprising rookie Jeremy Pena.
Will he return to the place that brought him so much happiness?
It’s unlikely, but in MLB, you should never say never.
