Lance McCullers Jr. is on track to start Game 4 of the ALCS for the Houston Astros against the New York Yankees on Sunday night.
McCullers threw six scoreless innings in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Seattle Mariners last week and will be called on in what could be a potential clincher for the Astros.
But during the champagne celebration after Game 3, McCullers was unlucky enough to take a bottle to the elbow.
This morning, McCullers was being interviewed about his start in Game 4 on Sunday and talked about what took place in the clubhouse.
Thankfully, McCullers says he’s okay and that what happened was just an accident.

McCullers Fine After Champagne Incident
Clearly, that’s good news for the Astros.
While they have good depth on the pitching side of things, losing McCullers would be a tough blow.
He already missed all of the 2019 season recovering from Tommy John surgery and struggled to stay healthy this year.
But it appears as if everything is okay for the 29-year-old right-hander and that he’ll be good to go for Game 4 on Sunday.
Interestingly, McCullers is the second player to deal with an injury-related issue this postseason following a celebration.
Philadelphia Phillies veteran right-hander David Robertson strained his calf while celebrating a Bryce Harper home run and was forced to sit out the NLDS.
Luckily, that wasn’t the case for McCullers.
McCullers appears to be in good spirits over the matter and isn’t too concerned about what took place.
He’ll go up against Nestor Cortes in Game 4 on Sunday.
The Astros and Yankees will square off in Game 3 on Saturday, with the start time being set for 5:07 p.m. Eastern Time.
