The Jacksonville Jaguars had one of the most drastic changes from the 2021 to the 2022 season.
After finishing 2021 with a 3-14 record, they won the division in 2022 and finished the year at 9-8.
While they fell in the divisional playoff round to the Kansas City Chiefs, they proved to the league that they have what it takes to contend in the AFC.
Their offense took a big step forward in Trevor Lawrence’s second season, and many are anticipating an even greater year in 2023.
One of the reasons for that confidence is the addition of Calvin Ridley.
Ridley has reportedly looked great in training camp and appears ready to make a colossal impact on this offense.
In a recent press conference after camp, per reporter Arye Pulli, Ridley said, “I’m one of the better receivers in the league.”
Jaguars WR Calvin Ridley said that he thinks he’s one of the better receivers in the NFL.
“I’m one of the better receivers in the league. That’s what I’ve been saying since I was a rookie. I noticed that right away when I got into the league.” pic.twitter.com/iQPUmhhv6K

He also later added, “I noticed that right away when I got into the league.”
Ridley had 800+ yards in his first two NFL seasons before bursting on the scene in 2020.
During that year, Ridley had 90 receptions for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns.
He gained the trust of Matt Ryan in the Atlanta Falcons offense, and put up one of the best stat lines in the league that season.
If he’s fully healthy and can keep his chemistry going with Lawrence, there’s no telling what his ceiling might be in what should be a high-flying offense.
After missing the last two years due to injuries and a suspension, Jaguars fans are patiently waiting to see what Ridley can do.
