The Minnesota Twins are in first place in the AL Central, which is not saying much.
The Central is the worst division in baseball as none of the five teams have a winning record.
Still, with a 38-38 record the Twins are in first place for the time being.
One of the Twins’ best players is outfielder Byron Buxton.
He put on an elite show of power on Thursday by smashing two huge home runs.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Buxton is the first player to hit multiple 460-foot home runs in a single game since 2013.

Buxton has always been an elite talent but he has problems staying healthy.
Yet when on the field he has been a player with legitimate 30/30 potential.
Buxton is batting .215 with 13 home runs and 27 RBI.
Yet this game may be a start of a breakout for the 29-year-old.
Minnesota has to be thrilled with the pitching they are getting this year.
The two starters who have been great are Joe Ryan and Sonny Gray.
In Thursday’s game, Ryan pitched a complete game while allowing zero runs and striking out nine.
He lowered his season ERA to 2.98 and picked up his eighth win of the season.
Now that the Twins sit at .500 they should be thrilled to be in first place.
If they can get players like Buxton and Carlos Correa to get hot the Twins have a chance to run away with the division.
