Coby White of the Chicago Bulls just had a bit of an up-and-down season but he ended it on a high note.
For the second half of the season, he showed a lot of skill and progress on the court.
Because of that, he was re-signed by the team in a deal that could earn him up to $40 million over three years.
White sounds happy about that choice, and happy about what his future could hold.
Speaking to Brandon Robinson, he opened up about coming back to the Windy City.
On Robinson’s show, White said:
“I wanted to come back and I’m glad that we came to an agreement and got a deal done. I’m excited and I’m excited to be back and I’m excited to continue to work and who doesn’t love Chicago, right? It’s a great city.”

For the season, White averaged 9.7 points and 2.8 assists on 44.3% from the floor.
While those aren’t stunning numbers, they hide the fact that he really did get better as the season went on.
If he can show the same sort of ball-handling and offense that he had in the last part of the season, he will continue to grow within the Bulls organization.
White is just 23 years old and he has a lot of years ahead of him – and still a lot of room for more growth.
As for the Bulls, they will likely call upon White more often.
He’s a guard, which is the exact same position as Lonzo Ball, who will be out for the next season as he continues to struggle with serious knee problems.
Therefore, White will possibly get a lot more time on the court during Ball’s prolonged absence.
The Bulls have belief in White and he clearly has it in himself too.
That could lead to a very long, beneficial relationship for both sides.
