The Chicago Bulls have been a team that many believe is on the verge of an extensive rebuilding process, as the moves they’ve made over the past few years haven’t exactly worked out in their favor.
The additions of Zach LaVine, Alex Caruso, Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucecic were thought to be game-changers, but it hasn’t gone as planned, with a new plan needing to be formed, especially if the team falls apart during the upcoming season.
This summer, the team’s only notable move was re-signing Vucecic and securing the frontcourt for the foreseeable future with the former All-Star center.
Along with the unfortunate news about Ball being set to miss next season, the team hasn’t done much this summer, which may continue.
The one move the team did make on Friday was signing restricted free agent guard Ayo Dosunmu to a three-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

This is not a game-changer for the Bulls, but it keeps a versatile guard in Chicago behind Caruso, LaVine, Jevon Carter, and Coby White.
The real question moving forward is whether the Bulls’ brass plans to shake things up with a blockbuster trade or two, especially with a few teams in the league looking to move players like Pascal Siakam, Damian Lillard, and James Harden.
LaVine and DeRozan have been mentioned in trade rumors constantly over the past two seasons, and it will be interesting to see if this year is the year the team finally decides to pull the plug and head in another direction.
