Brock Purdy is quickly becoming a sensation in the NFL.
The San Francisco 49ers‘ newest starting quarterback has led the team to back-to-back wins in his first two starts, and has recently cemented his place in NFL record books.

Passer rating, while a complicated statistic, takes into account a player’s completions, passing attempts, overall passing yards, touchdowns, and interceptions.
A player’s passer rating can range from zero, all the way up to 158.3.
In his first two starts, Purdy’s passer rating has averaged out to 125.5.
Purdy is the only quarterback besides Aaron Rodgers to have a passer rating of over 115 in his first two NFL starts.
His spectacular play has certainly been on notice, and this statistic highlights the fact that Purdy isn’t just winning people over with his underdog story, but his on-field play has matched the expectations.
Can Purdy Continue This Success?
Purdy will have every opportunity to build off of his recent success.
The 49ers’ next three opponents have a combined winning percentage of .421.
With the 49ers currently on a seven-game win streak, they could enter the playoffs with as many as ten-straight wins.
The real question is, what happens to Jimmy Garoppolo?
Purdy took over the job from Garoppolo after he got injured.
With news coming out that Garoppolo might be able to return for the playoffs, the 49ers will have a serious decision to make.
Do they stick with the hot hand of Purdy?
Or, if healthy, do they go back to Garoppolo, who has played seven playoff games in his career?
