2022 may just be the year of a stacked rookie class in Major League Baseball.
Today, baseball’s top prospect, Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals, was officially named to the team’s Opening Day roster.
Seattle Mariners prospect Julio Rodriguez also received the honor of making the Opening Day roster.
As expected, Witt is pumped up and ready to go and the entire baseball world waits in anticipation to see what this kid is made of.

Witt Ready To Make His Mark
It’s nice to see top prospects get their chances on Opening Day.
For far too long, we have seen teams manipulate young players’ service time, keeping them down in the minors in order to have them around for longer.
Such was the case with Kris Bryant and the Chicago Cubs back in 2015.
But with the lockout over, we now have a chance to see a burgeoning class of some of the best young players in all of baseball.
Rarely is a class of rookies this stacked.
But Witt should be a valuable piece for the Royals in 2022 as they look to take a step towards contention.
Witt’s future is incredibly bright.
He could help turn the Royals back into a contending club in the next few years if he reaches his full potential.
But for now, the top prospect in all of baseball has a chance to make an impact early and potentially make a run at the American League Rookie of the Year Award.
