The Denver Broncos struck gold in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Head coach Sean Payton had his eyes on the prize from the beginning and landed the quarterback he was looking for at No. 12 overall.
Bo Nix has closed the gap on Washington Commanders star Jayden Daniels lately, and some believe the Broncos QB has already overtaken him as the leading candidate to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Moreover, Nix could make history in Denver’s upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts.
“If Bo Nix has 200+ passing yards on Sunday against the Colts, he’ll become just the second rookie QB in NFL history to have 200+ passing yards in each of his first seven career home starts. Only Justin Herbert has accomplished that feat,” Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports wrote on X.

This season, Nix has completed 63.8 percent of his passes for 2,842 yards, 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions while adding 304 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Nix’s athleticism and physical traits were always evident during his long collegiate career, but his decision-making often left plenty to be desired.
That hasn’t been the case as a pro in Payton’s offensive system.
He doesn’t make the same mistake twice, and he looks better, more calm and more in control with every week that goes by.
Not many people had the Broncos winning eight games this season, much less eight of their first 13.
The AFC West already has legitimate Super Bowl contenders, and it shouldn’t take long before the new-look Broncos are among them.
