After a 2023 season that ultimately ended in disappointment, the Buffalo Bills have some big decisions to make this offseason.
Many have speculated that star wide receiver Stefon Diggs has played his last game for them, and if he leaves, they will, in all likelihood, take a step backward in 2024 and need to retool.
But there is some good news just days before the start of the new NFL year, as per Field Yates, the Bills have agreed with linebacker Von Miller on a renegotiated contract that will save them some salary cap space.
The Bills and pass rusher Von Miller agreed to a renegotiated contract, per source.
The deal has a base value of $8.855M in 2024, with the chance to make up to $20M with incentives (up from $17.5M under the old terms).
The move saves Buffalo $8.645M in 2024 salary cap space.

Buffalo was 6-6 at the end of November, and it looked like they were on their way to missing the playoffs.
But that is when they ended the regular season on a winning streak, allowing them to finish first in the AFC East, and all of a sudden, they were arguably the most dangerous team heading into the playoffs.
Alas, their playoff run ended in heartbreaking fashion when they lost 27-24 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round after Tyler Bass missed a potential game-tying field goal.
On paper, the Bills seem to have the talent to contend, between Diggs, quarterback Josh Allen and a number of capable contributors on defense, which includes Miller.
Miller isn’t the player he used to be years ago when he won a Super Bowl MVP, and he spent 2023 working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered the previous season, but he may still be capable of being productive.
