The Buffalo Bills were stunned in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season when they lost to the New York Jets on the road.
Despite the Jets losing Aaron Rodgers just four snaps into the game, the Bills were unable to close them out as their offense stalled out.
Buffalo’s defense held up their end of the bargain as they were able to limit New York, especially with Zach Wilson taking over for Rodgers.
Regardless, the Bills find themselves at 0-1 though they have an excellent opportunity to bounce back as they draw the Las Vegas Raiders in their home opener.
Las Vegas is 1-0 on the season, but their victory came against the Denver Broncos who don’t boast nearly the same amount of offensive firepower that Buffalo does.
Ahead of their Week 2 matchup, the Bills made the surprising decision to leave Damar Hamlin off the active roster via Stacey Dales of NFL Network.
Per @StaceyDales, Damar Hamlin once again is inactive with that deep #Bills secondary.

Hamlin has been able to work his way back to the football field after the scary incident he had last season, but it seems as though the team will choose to leave him off the gameday roster.
The Bills secondary features plenty of talented players like starters Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde.
Taylor Rapp and Cam Lewis also make for solid backup safeties, so it makes sense why Hamlin’s services aren’t needed.
Although it’s great to see that Hamlin is healthy again, Buffalo is going to seemingly utilize the players ahead of him though an injury could eventually open up playing time for him.
