It’s back to the drawing board for the Buffalo Bills after dropping a winnable Week 1 game.
They had their opportunities to beat the New York Jets but couldn’t capitalize on those chances.
Josh Allen became the scapegoat after committing four turnovers, including three interceptions thrown to Jordan Whitehead.
But that’s all in the past, as the Bills look forward to Week 2.
The three-time defending AFC East division champions should play with urgency to avoid falling into a 0-2 hole.
However, FS1’s Nick Wright disagrees with that perspective.
The First Things First host said:
“Josh Allen plays every game like he’s playing Patrick Mahomes & you got to get 40. Nobody doubts, even me, that when he’s rolling, he’s amazing. It’s can you throttle it back.”

Wright doesn’t buy the idea that the Bills must play with urgency because no one thinks the Las Vegas Raiders, their Week 2 opponents, are a great team.
They will also play at home, where they only lost one regular season game last year.
However, Wright wants Allen to exhibit self-control on the football field.
While Allen is a Pro Bowl quarterback, he has double-digit interceptions in four of his first five NFL seasons.
Wright believes that Allen’s recklessness against the Jets is a by-product of his marvelous 2022 Divisional Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
To the sports media personality, Allen might have thought that copying his performance in that playoff matchup would work in every game after that.
Therefore, Wright wants to see Allen make better decisions to maximize Buffalo’s explosive offense.
