Yet again, the Buffalo Bills suffered a heartbreaking loss in the playoffs, this time in the AFC Championship Game to the Kansas City Chiefs, and it is a movie their fans have seen way too many times.
Bills Mafia has to wonder what it will take for their team to finally get over the hump and win the Super Bowl championship that has always eluded it.
There may not be any big moves coming for Buffalo this offseason, but it has reportedly hired a new special teams coordinator.
“Bills are hiring former [Carolina] Panthers interim head coach Chris Tabor as their special teams coordinator, per source. Tabor spent last season out of the NFL and now returns in Buffalo,” ESPN insider Adam Schefter wrote on X.

Tabor has a long history of coaching special teams in the NFL.
After many years at the college level, he became an assistant special teams coach for the Chicago Bears in 2008, a role he held for three seasons.
From 2011 to 2017, he was the Cleveland Browns’ special teams coordinator and then was back with the Bears through 2021 before joining the Panthers.
Tabor was named Panthers head coach late in the 2023 season after they fired Frank Reich, then sat out this season.
When he was in charge of Carolina’s special teams, he got that unit to rank fourth according to Rick Gosselin’s annual rankings after it had been 28th on that list.
In 2022, the Panthers blocked four field goal attempts and often pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line on punts while kicker Eddy Pineiro had a league-high 94.3 percent accuracy on field goal tries.
