The New England Patriots are looking to build a new era of winning football.
Needless to say, that’s not going to happen if they don’t have a franchise quarterback.
Fortunately, it seems like they have found him.
At least, that’s how Bill Simmons feels.
Talking on his podcast, the controversial analyst claimed that he would gladly be haunted by what he was about to say.
Then, he went as far as to say that ‘Drake Maye is a sure thing.’
"I am happy to be haunted by this clip forever—Drake Maye is a sure thing."

Despite all the losses, he believes he’s much better than Mac Jones.
Granted, he also admittedly loved Jones, but he sees him as more of a game manager, whereas Maye is believed to be more impactful.
That’s a massive statement, especially considering that the city of Boston has had its fair share of stellar rookies in this century.
More than that, it’s never wise to jump to conclusions about first-year signal-callers, even if they look solid early on.
Despite his team’s shortcomings, Maye has been very good in his rookie season.
More than that, he also looks like a true leader, and he’s embraced that role from the very second he was penciled in as the starter.
The Patriots still have a long way to go to get back to contention.
But even if it takes them years, they’ve found the biggest and most important piece of the puzzle.
