Monday Night Football is about to get a whole lot more interesting for Cade York.
The kicker, who won the 2019 national championship at LSU alongside Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, finds himself in a unique situation as he joins the Bengals’ practice squad after Evan McPherson’s injury.
But York’s story isn’t just about football, it’s also a tale of unexpected connections.
In a twist that sounds almost too perfect to be true, York revealed he’s dating Zoe Dale, a Cowboys cheerleader.

His recent call-up to the Bengals means he’ll be playing against the very team his girlfriend cheers for.
“My girlfriend is actually a cheerleader for the Cowboys,” York shared. “And she got baptized this Sunday. … Literally the next day, I get a call that I’m going to work out for the Bengals, and they are playing [the Cowboys] on Monday. I was like, ‘Well Zoey, I will see you at home no matter what.'”

Dale’s loyalty is split, but her support for York is clear.
“She’s going to be cheering for me,” York said with a smile. “But yes, we’ll both be there. She already told me—second quarter and fourth quarter are when she’s on the visiting side.”
York’s NFL journey has been anything but straightforward. Drafted by the Browns in 2022, he was released in 2023 after hitting just 75% of his field goals.
A brief and challenging stint with the Washington Commanders followed, where he missed both of his field-goal attempts.
Now, with McPherson’s injury opening a door, York has another shot at proving himself.
The stage couldn’t be more dramatic, making his Bengals debut at AT&T Stadium, with his girlfriend cheering from the sidelines in Cowboys colors.
