The Cincinnati Bengals were thought to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender coming into the 2024 NFL season, as they were finally able to get superstar quarterback Joe Burrow back healthy and ready to right the ship.
Unfortunately, even though Burrow is having one of his best seasons statistically, the team’s defense hasn’t been able to hold leads, which has resulted in a lot of disappointing losses and Cincinnati heading toward a disappointing end of the 2024 campaign.
Apparently, Burrow did some recruiting for the Bengals as four-time Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski recently admitted on the Dudes on Dudes podcast that he got a text from the superstar quarterback trying to get him to play for Cincinnati via Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report.
“I get a text message. It’s Joe Burrow,” Gronkowski said. “I would love for you if you came to the Cincinnati Bengals.”

Obviously, the Bengals’ problems are on the defensive side of the football this season, as they can’t seem to stop any opposing offense from lighting them up on a weekly basis, which has been the main reason for the team’s struggles.
However, adding a weapon like Gronkowski to Burrow’s arsenal would’ve been fun to see, as the Bengals would’ve had as dynamic an offense as there is in the NFL this year if he can still be a game-changer on the football field at 35.
