Aaron Rodgers’s tenure with the New York Jets was disappointing.
His tape wasn’t as flattering, and his team’s numbers left plenty to be desired.
However, he was still better than the average quarterback, and he was coming off a major injury and playing for a dysfunctional franchise.
That’s why some believe he still has plenty left in the tank.
Notably, that includes Ben Roethlisberger.
In the latest edition of his podcast, the legendary quarterback gushed about Rodgers and the prospect of him playing for the Steelers (via Andrew Fillipponi).
Big Ben is a big Aaron Rodgers fan. He says on Footbahlin that Rodgers would take Steelers offense to new heights. Still a big believer. Do you agree? pic.twitter.com/FHZIUBCwLD

As much as some state that he can’t move the way he did in the past, Big Ben stated that Rodgers’s arm and brain still work perfectly.
He thinks that adding a player of his caliber would elevate the entire roster and take them to a whole new level.
Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever lace them up.
Even if he’s coming off a down year, he would still be an upgrade over several quarterbacks, including Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
There are more than enough reasons to be worried, and he’s not particularly easygoing or getting any younger.
Nevertheless, he’s by far the Steelers’ best option right now.
He’s reportedly still weighing his options, and he hasn’t made up his mind about whether he wants to play for another year or two.
But if he can be half the player he was in Green Bay, the Steelers could and should be a legitimate dark horse in the AFC.
