The Detroit Lions continue to be one of the best teams in the NFL.
Despite their loss to the Buffalo Bills last week, the Lions are still viewed as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl, a team many expect to be the NFC’s representative in the big game if nothing else.
The Lions have talented players on both sides of the ball, but they are especially lauded for their coaching staff, who have put everything together.
Dan Campbell continues to get accolades for his role as head coach, and Ben Johnson is starting to get more and more recognition for his responsibilities as offensive coordinator.
Johnson was said to be up for a head coaching job ahead of the 2024 season, but to many fan’s surprise, he stuck around for at least one more year, wanting to help the Lions take the next step.
He was recently asked about revisiting the head coaching topic, to which he said, “I think there’s a burning desire in every man to find what he’s made out of. Going into the postseason, honestly, this is why I’m here. This is why I wanted to be here,” Johnson exclaimed via reporter Brad Galli.

Johnson might want to take a look at the open positions in the offseason, but for now, he seems solely focused on helping the Lions in whatever way possible.
Jared Goff continues to be among the best quarterbacks in the league this season, effectively running Johnson’s offense.
It will be interesting to see if the Lions can finish the job this year, winning the first Super Bowl in franchise history.
