One of the many reasons why the Detroit Lions have turned into one of the best teams in the NFL is because they don’t make excuses for themselves.
Thanks to head coach Dan Campbell, they have a winning mentality and an aggressive approach.
Campbell spoke to the Detroit media earlier this week and refused to use injuries as an excuse for his team.
“You can’t convince me. I don’t believe it…We’ve got plenty here…We’re good and we’ll figure out how we need to play,” Campbell said.
Don’t expect Dan Campbell to use all of the Lions injuries as an excuse.

It is hard to find a better coach with a better mindset in the sport right now, and this is exactly how and why Campbell has changed the scope of the franchise.
It feels like he is still a player and trying to prove himself, which is exactly the type of mentality that everyone in the NFL needs to be great.
Without David Montgomery, Aidan Hutchinson, Alim McNeill, and other big-name players dealing with season-ending injuries, Campbell has no choice but to roll with his players.
With the playoffs on the horizon, the Lions are trying to hold off the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
Campbell could deserve a statue in Detroit if his team manages to achieve a magical playoff run this January and February.
