The Cleveland Browns seem to be in a period of transition.
They’ve allowed Jarvis Landry to continue his career elsewhere but not before trading for Amari Cooper.
Offensive lineman JC Tretter is also gone after five seasons with the Browns.
However, the biggest update of them all is Baker Mayfield‘s potential departure after posting what sounds like a farewell letter for Browns fans.
Mayfield said, “With many uncertainties, here is where my head and heart is.”

It is a lengthy message that starts with, “The past 4 years have been nothing short of truly life-changing since I heard my name called in the draft to go to Cleveland. This is not a message with a hidden meaning. This is strictly to thank the city of Cleveland for embracing my family and me. We have made many memories and shared growing in this process through all the ups and downs.”
However, Mayfield somehow hinted on what might come next by saying, “I have no clue what happens next, which is the meaning behind the silence I have had during the duration of this process.”
He closed his statement with, “Cleveland will always be a part of Emily and my story. And we will always be thankful for the impact it has had and will have in our lives.”
Is Mayfield On The Way Out Of Cleveland?
Deshaun Watson is the top quarterback left in the market and the Browns are making a push for him.
It has been reported that Watson approved all of the trade scenarios that teams have in place for him.
Therefore, he just has to waive his no-trade clause and select his next team.
Mayfield’s message may hint at the possibility of Watson going to Cleveland.
If that happens, Mayfield will be moving to the Houston Texans via trade, especially after Tyrod Taylor signed with the New York Giants.
