Newly acquired Los Angeles Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield will debut for the Rams with a brand new number.
After donning No. 6 for his entire collegiate career, along with his time with the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers, Mayfield will be sporting No. 17 while he is a member of the Rams.

Baker Mayfield: New Number, New Me?
While it remains to be seen if Mayfield will be the starter for the Rams tomorrow night on Thursday Night Football, this signing likely means that he will have an opportunity to be the Rams’ starter for the remainder of the season.
Before this signing, they have been rotating between Bryce Perkins and John Wolford.
Wolford, however, is currently injured, leaving the quarterback duties up to Perkins and Mayfield.
In what many have dubbed an extreme Super Bowl hangover, the Rams currently sit at the bottom of the NFC West with a record of 3-9.
This season has certainly underwhelmed the Rams, who came into the year with high aspirations.
Will Mayfield be the Rams quarterback of the future?
Although nothing is confirmed, there have been rumors circulating that Matthew Stafford will be retiring after this season.
Stafford is currently out with a spinal contusion, and will likely not play again this season.
If Mayfield can play well, the Rams could sign him to an extension.
With the season all but over with the Rams, they might as well see how Mayfield can run this West Coast-style offense.
