Fans Are Not Happy With NFL Team For Winning On Sunday

The 2024 NFL season is nearing its conclusion, and many teams have already clinched playoff spots.

Only a few more teams are jockeying for position, hoping to end the season strong and sneak into the postseason.

On the other side of the coin, several of the worst teams in the league are also jockeying for position, but in a different way.

The worse they play, the better their odds for a top-10 draft pick, and at this point in the season, considering they are already out of playoff contention, losing might be in their best interest.

While the Las Vegas Raiders are well aware of where they stand, they ended up beating the Jaguars in Week 16, bringing their win total to 3 games, as Ian Rapoport highlighted on X.

Rapoport reported that because of their win, the Raiders will now have an uphill battle to secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft, as the New York Giants are the only two-loss team remaining.

Fans were frustrated with this result and also confused as to why the Raiders would put their best foot forward to win this game.

As these fans pointed out, the Raiders might have hurt their chances of getting significantly better via the draft.

They are, of course, still on track for a top-five pick, but having the No. 1 overall selection would have given them more flexibility.

Considering the team needs a new quarterback, they’ll likely target the position in the draft, but it will be interesting to see where they end up picking with this win in mind.
