The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly mulling all of their options.
The team has lost ten games in a row, and they’ve repeatedly shot themselves in the foot in some of those losses.
Their woes were evident again late in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
They had a chance to win the game late.
However, they were flagged for crucial penalties in the closing minutes.
That’s on the coach.
With that in mind, many analysts believe that Antonio Pierce won’t be there much longer.
When asked about that, however, the first-year head coach looked unbothered, claiming that he was still under contract:
“I’m under contract,” Pierce matter-of-factly answered on Tuesday.
Pierce took the reins of the team midway through last season.
They parted ways with Josh McDaniels, and it seemed like the players had a real connection with him.
That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
There haven’t been signs of that gritty and physical defense or that determination to pick up an extra yard at all costs.
Given their current quarterback situation, the Raiders were always expected to struggle on offense this season.
Even so, there have been many issues on both sides of the field, and it doesn’t look like the players are responding to him anymore.
The Raiders will most likely have a new quarterback next season, which gives them a perfect opportunity to start fresh with a new coaching regime.
