Being drafted as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards has been shouldered with a lot of burden since entering the league.
But unlike many, Edwards didn’t succumb to the pressure of being the top pick in the NBA Draft.
Instead, Edwards has only improved with each passing season in his career.
So much so that many even expect him to become the MVP of the league in the 2023-24 season.
Players around the league seemingly respect Edwards as a player, and the Los Angeles Lakers’ Jarred Vanderbilt became the most recent to heap huge praise on the young stud, via Tidal League on Twitter.
“The sky is the limit for him, I ain’t going to lie. He got everything lined up to be one of those guys,” Vanderbilt claimed.
What are we going to see next from Anthony Edwards? 👀

Edwards had a breakout 2022-23 season, averaging 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.
The 22-year-old also made his first NBA All-Star team behind his strong performances during the regular season.
Edwards kept improving as he was undoubtedly the best player for Team USA during the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
While Team USA finished fourth in the tournament, it was more than enough for fans and players to take notice of Edwards’ talents.
Vanderbilt believes the sky is the limit for Edwards, and he could one day become the face of the league.
Considering Edwards is still just 22 years old, there’s still a lot of room for improvement in his craft.
Despite knowing that, Edwards believes he can be a top-notch player in the league and take home the MVP award in the 2023-24 season.
Will Edwards become the best player in the NBA next season?
Or will he finally be stopped in his tracks?
