Over the years, fans have seen Anthony Davis of the Dallas Mavericks in protective eyewear after injuries.
People need to get used to him wearing these specialty glasses because they are here to stay.
Davis revealed that he must wear protective eyewear for the rest of his career following a “mandate from the doctor.”
Davis recently had surgery on his detached retina this summer, and the eyewear is because of that.

It’s unfortunate that Davis will have to use these glasses for the rest of his time in the NBA, but at least he gets to keep playing.
The Mavericks star is infamously injury-prone, and there was a chance that his latest eye problems could have been career-ending.
Thankfully, they weren’t, and he should be back and ready to play with Dallas this season.
There will still be concerns about Davis, even if his eyes are properly protected.
He has injured his feet, knees, groin, and more over the years, and his physical style leaves him open to injuries again and again throughout the season.
So even though his eyes will be taken care of, Dallas fans will be scared of him slipping, falling, or getting hurt in some other way.
Davis is a huge part of the Mavericks’ plans.
They are going to rely on him often, and his explosive offense and defense could help the team remain a playoff contender.
These glasses have been used by numerous NBA players before, and they have still been able to perform well.
They won’t get in the way of his talent, and hopefully, another injury won’t.
