Taylor Ward is one of the many reasons the Los Angeles Angels have risen from a sub .500 team to a contender in just a few months.
He’s been red-hot at the plate and has been leading the charge as the Angels battle it out with the Houston Astros in the AL West.
The 28-year-old is hitting .376 with nine home runs and 23 RBI.
His OPS is quite impressive too, sitting at 1.217.
Needless to say, Angels fans are loving every minute of this.
Angels radio broadcaster Trent Rush is too, and he took to Twitter to share his opinion on all the hype that is taking place.
The great thing about Taylor Ward, this isn’t just some fluky hot streak. He’s a great hitter that has been through it, grinded like crazy, and is finally flourishing. He’s representing everything that’s great about this game.

Ward On Fire
Rush is completely on board with this.
Ward is giving Angels fans a reason to smile and is providing their lineup with a little bit of an extra lift.
With Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Anthony Rendon, they already had three of the best run producers in the game.
But now Ward has joined in on all the fun.
It sure has been a while since the Angels have been this good and the fans have been this excited, but here we are watching Ward tear it up and prove that he is not only Major League-ready, but has turned into one of the best hitters in the game.
He’s red-hot and not slowing down.
No pitcher wants to face him right now, but with Trout, Ohtani, and Rendon also in the lineup, they don’t have much of a choice.
Ward’s breakout somewhat mirrors that of Tyler O’Neill from a year ago, how he just burst onto the scene and started hitting.
He’s kept it up and isn’t stopping anytime soon.
