The Kansas City Chiefs hired Andy Reid one year after being let go by the Philadelphia Eagles.
His coaching days date all the way back to 1982 when he became a graduate assistant at BYU, working his way up to the NFL ten years later.
Reid joined the Green Bay Packers as an assistant and even helped them win Super Bowl XXXI before getting his first chance to be a Head Coach.
So, it’s safe to say that he’s been around for quite longer than the average coach.
With that in mind, there was plenty of speculation about his future beyond Super Bowl LVII, with most people stating that he was ready to retire regardless of the outcome.
That’s why the 64-year-old was quick to shut down that narrative right away, stating that he’s not going anywhere for the foreseeable future, according to The Athletic’s Nate Taylor:

The Chiefs’ recent success proves that Reid is still going strong, so there’s no reason to think he’s not suited to keep the reins of the franchise for years to come.
Of course, a guy his age will need to step down sometime soon, as all the traveling and stress most definitely can take a massive toll on anybody.
But Reid continues to find joy in the game, and it’s not like his offensive expertise is outdated by any means.
So, Chiefs fans can rest assured that they’ll still have one of the best minds in the game leading the way, at least for another full season.
