Even though Patrick Mahomes hasn’t been in the NFL for that long, he’s dominating at a historic pace.
He’s turned the Kansas City Chiefs into the team to beat in both conferences, regardless of who’s catching passes for him.
Of course, having an elite coaching staff with Andy Reid, Eric Bieniemy, and Steve Spagnuolo also helps, and don’t even get me started with Travis Kelce.
But Mahomes is the centerpiece of one of the most explosive offenses this game has ever seen, and it goes way beyond his talent.
Pat’s determination to win and his ability to rise to the occasion have helped him build his legend.
And that was again one of the main reasons why they managed to snatch a win — this time on the biggest stage — when they beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
That’s why former NFL player Ryan Clark believes Mahomes has a big shot at being considered the greatest player in NFL history once it’s all said and done:
“The way that [Patrick Mahomes] willed this team to a win at the end of the game speaks to his leadership and his heart,” Clark said on ESPN’s Get Up. “If he continues to stack hardware, stack wins, and stack more legacy games, he’s going to be the greatest that has ever played.”

It might sound early to make such a bold statement, especially fresh off Tom Brady’s retirement.
Mahomes still needs to catch the legendary gunslinger’s seven Super Bowl rings to be considered the GOAT, but he’s the only player that we could all agree has a shot at pulling that off.
Pat is still young and has plenty of football ahead of him, and he’s already made it to three Super Bowls in a four-year span, reaching at least the AFC Championship Game in every season as a starter.
So, will he be the GOAT? We can’t tell just yet, but we’ll sure enjoy the ride while he’s still dominating the league.
