Milwaukee Brewers veteran slugger Andrew McCutchen has been around for a long time.
Since coming up to the big leagues in 2009, he’s been one of the best pure hitters in all of baseball.
He may be 35 years old and past his prime, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t still have a flair for the dramatic and the ability to pick up some clutch hits.
He’s also got a ton of class and is a great guy.
He’s a true ambassador for the game of baseball and a valuable veteran voice in any clubhouse.
On Twitter, he voiced his support for New York Yankees slugger Matt Carpenter, who is having a year of resurgence.
I’m happy for Matt Carpenter. Keep doing it

Cutch Shouts Out Carp
McCutchen certainly is familiar with Carpenter.
McCutchen has spent a lot of time in the NL Central, most notably with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and for a time, the Pirates had a bit of a professional rivalry with the St. Louis Cardinals, Carpenter’s former team.
Carpenter and McCutchen are familiar with each other and are both solid baseball veterans.
It’s good to see McCutchen voice his support for Carpenter.
Carpenter has struggled mightily since his 2018 salsa craze season and McCutchen is certainly aware of that.
Carpenter is one of the hardest workers in the game and is a guy who knows how to grind out an at-bat.
McCutchen clearly admires that and appreciates what Carpenter has done for baseball.
He also knows what it’s like to struggle and the feeling that comes with the realization a player has when he knows he’s past his prime.
Baseball is a game of brotherhood and at the end of the day, everybody supports one another.
