During his playing career in the NBA, Andre Iguodala played against and with some great players who will be in or are already in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Arguably, the two best players Iguodala played with were Allen Iverson during his time with the Philadelphia 76ers and elite shooter Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, who won four NBA titles while playing alongside him in the Bay Area.
With Iguodala having no shortage of experience playing against some of the best players to ever play the game, especially when it comes to backcourt players, he is bound to have some interesting thoughts on who is a player that can strike fear into opponents.
Iguodala recently made a guest appearance on the Ryen Russillo podcast on The Ringer and was asked which player he’d be most scared of in a tie game and he went with Kyrie Irving, who currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks via NBA Central.
“Kyrie Irving,” Iguodala said. “It’s not even close. For the last-second shot, I’m going with Kyrie.”

Iguodala has a good reason to feel this fear when it comes to Irving, as the superstar guard hit the game-winning shot in the NBA Finals against the Warriors while playing alongside LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.
Even though the star-studded Warriors were the favorites in the series against the Cavaliers, Cleveland was able to defy the odds, with Irving hitting the biggest shot of the series over Curry in Game 7 to win the franchise’s first and only NBA title.
