The NFL has hit that point during the regular season where everyone thinks they know how the rest of the year is going to pan out, with title-contending teams separating themselves from the rest of the pack.
In Week 7, one team in particular might’ve turned a lot of heads with their performance against a team that many believe could make it to the Super Bowl in the NFC.
The Detroit Lions have been, without a doubt, one of the best all-around teams in the league this season, but they didn’t look like it on Sunday, with the Baltimore Ravens making easy work of Jared Goff and company.
It was such a dominating performance by the Ravens, who have battled injuries all season long, that Greg Olsen of FOX Sports believes that Baltimore made a statement on Sunday via FOX Sports: NFL.
“If this is the vision unfolding of the new look Ravens offense led by Lamar Jackson, with the way their defense has played much all year, that is a scary thought for the rest of the teams in the AFC…” Olsen said.

The Ravens hosting the Lions in Week 7 was thought to be a battle of heavyweights in both conferences, with Detroit proving to be legit over the course of the first six weeks of the season and Baltimore looking good but not great to start their season.
However, the tide seemed to change for both teams on Sunday, with Detroit unable to stop the offensive onslaught of Lamar Jackson and company, leading to 38 points, while the Lions uncharacteristically couldn’t counter by scoring only six points.
Jackson had one of his best games of the season, scoring four total touchdowns, with three coming in the air and one on the ground, while also racking up nearly 400 all-purpose yards (393).
Baltimore definitely made a statement on Sunday that they are a force to be reckoned with in the AFC.
