The Detroit Lions have been gaining steam as a potential threat to win the NFC, but that momentum was halted dead in its tracks in Week 7 as they were dominated by the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens dismantled the Lions on both sides of the ball en route to a convincing 38-6 win to improve to 5-2 during the 2023 NFL season.
Baltimore raced out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back as they were able to prevent Detroit from even converting a first down.
The Ravens would go on to extend their lead to 35-0 before the Lions finally scored their first touchdown of the afternoon thanks to Jahmyr Gibbs.
Lamar Jackson had his best offensive game of the season as he completed 21 of 27 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns plus 36 yards rushing and another score on the ground.
After Jackson’s explosive performance, fans took to Twitter to fire off their takes via PFF.

Much has been made about the Baltimore offense during the regular season, but they finally clicked on all cylinders against a great Detroit defense to boot.
This was easily the most comfortable Jackson has looked in Todd Monken’s system and it should be a positive sign for the two going forward.
Jackson remains one of the best quarterbacks in the league and his performance against the Lions is a strong reminder of what he can do when he’s dialed in.
The Ravens are looking like the favorite to win the AFC North and they’ve got a chance to build on their momentum in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals.
