Jonathan Taylor has been a hot topic throughout the NFL offseason.
After requesting a trade from the Indianapolis Colts, fans and analysts started to concoct trade proposals.
There are several reported teams in the mix for Taylor, including the Miami Dolphins.
Many believe the Dolphins are a great candidate for Taylor, seeing they don’t have a true number-one back.
However, in a segment of ‘Good Morning Football,’ Jason McCourty expressed his concern should Taylor join this team.
McCourty pointed to Mike McDaniel’s track record with running backs, showcasing he doesn’t utilize one back more than others.

Taylor has been a workhorse back with the Colts, and his heavy utilization has been one of the reasons for his success.
However, if he was traded to the Dolphins, McCourty believes his role would look a lot different.
In McDaniel’s tenure as a head coach and offensive coordinator, he has adopted a running back-by-committee approach.
This has led to several players getting significant touches, rather than one back receiving the bulk of the team’s potential carries.
McCourty questioned the motives of the Dolphins, especially if they traded for and later signed Taylor.
“When you say the words all in, that’s a little terrifying,” McCourty later said.
If the Dolphins do have an all-in approach to the 2023 season, adding a player of Taylor’s caliber could make sense.
When thinking about the future, however, McCourty isn’t sure this is in the Dolphins’ best interest with McDaniel at the helm.
With less than two weeks to go until the NFL Season kicks off, the clock is ticking for Taylor’s current situation.
