The NFC East has had the most parity of any NFL division in recent history.
There has not been a back-to-back division winner in 20 years, which showcases the back-and-forth nature of these teams.
The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have been the best two teams over the last five years, with the Cowboys taking the crown last year.
While the Cowboys did win the division in 2023, much of that is attributed to the Eagles’ late-season collapse rather than the Cowboys’ winning of their own volition.
After seeing how things played out last year and comparing the two rosters heading into 2024, Craig Carton said, “It’s the Philadelphia Eagles’ division to lose.”

Carton is a known hater of the Cowboys, as he continues to be frustrated with how the team is run, particularly as it relates to Dak Prescott’s contract.
He recognizes that the Cowboys’ roster isn’t as strong as the Eagles’, another reason he picked the Eagles to win the division.
The Eagles might have failed to capitalize last season after a strong start, but there is reason to believe they’ll bounce back.
Jalen Hurts continues to play at an MVP level, and with players like A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert around him, he is set up to succeed.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, still have Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, but there are many holes that concern analysts like Carton.
They are without a true RB1, and with Prescott unsigned for the future, he is worried that Prescott’s eyes might not be on the prize at the moment.
