It’s the dawn of a new era for the Philadelphia Eagles.
For the first time in quite a while, they’ll have a legitimate superstar at the running back position instead of a running back-by-committee approach.
Stealing Saquon Barkley from a divisional rival was a major move, and it could pay off big time.
That’s why he’s so excited about having an opportunity to play for such a great team.
In his recent appearance on Jason and Travis Kelce’s ‘New Heights’ podcast, he claimed that he felt like a kid in a candy store, adding that he couldn’t wait to meet everybody.
With that in mind, Jason shared some advice, urging him not to fall down at the one-yard line.
“I do have one piece of advice. Do not go down at the one-yard line,” Kelce said.

He stated that he should go down at the two-yard line or not at all, jokingly referring to their controversial ‘Tush Push’ or ‘Brotherly Shove’ play.
Barkley stated that he saw how many touchdowns they ‘robbed’ Miles Sanders of because he fell short of the endzone, with Jason adding that he actually felt bad for him because of that.
Of course, Barkley is a more powerful running back, so he should find a lot of running gaps behind that elite offensive line, and that should translate into plenty of touchdowns.
Needless to say, he will always come with some injury risk, as he has struggled to stay on the field for most of his career.
But if he’s healthy, he could be in for a monster year in the City of Brotherly Love.
