The Kansas City Chiefs never had an answer to whatever the Philadelphia Eagles showed them.
The Eagles kept converting on third and long, making plays with their legs and overpowering the Chiefs on both sides of the field.
Patrick Mahomes never had a clean pocket, and with the game quickly getting out of reach, the three-time Super Bowl champion eventually crumbled.
That’s why Dan Orlovsky claimed that it was the worst game of his career.
Talking on ESPN’s “Get Up,” the former quarterback stated that he had never seen Mahomes so flustered:
“It’s the most unsettled and flustered I’ve ever seen Patrick look. It’s the worst game I’ve seen Patrick play,” he said.

Orlovsky claimed that Mahomes made plenty of uncharacteristic mistakes.
He credited the Eagles’ defense for forcing him to drop his eyes and scramble.
Mahomes kept running into collapsed pockets and right into the pass rush.
His offensive line provided him no time or space to maneuver, with even a seasoned veteran like Joe Thuney finding it difficult to hold his ground in the trenches.
Perhaps his final stat line of 257 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions doesn’t tell the whole story of how things went down on Sunday.
Of course, it’s hard to blame him for the loss with the way his offensive line crumbled over and over.
But as much as people have rightfully given him plenty of credit for what he’s done in the past, he also has to be held accountable when things don’t go his team’s way.
Still, he has plenty of football ahead of him, and it’ll be interesting to see how he bounces back.
