Many people aren’t sure what to think of the newly-announced NBA In-Season Tournament.
This will be the first year that the league has all teams face off against each other in November through December in hopes of winning the NBA Cup.
While most fans will be more concerned with the Finals at the end of the year, the In-Season Tournament could be wildly exciting too.
It may also be a great opportunity for certain teams that are on the verge of greatness.
“I would think that San Antonio would be all about this In-Season Tournament,” Rick Kamla said on SiriusXM NBA Radio.
He said that the Spurs should be all-in on the tournament because it’ll give rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama a chance to shine on a big, national stage.

Kamla claims that the Spurs won’t make the play-in tournament this year and therefore miss out on the playoffs.
That means that the In-Season Tournament will be their best chance to really leave an impression on the rest of the league and the TV audience too.
Speaking of the television viewers, Kamla points out that three of San Antonio’s four games in the opening round of the tournament are on national TV.
That means they will get a lot of exposure.
Of course, the tournament starts in November, which means it’s just weeks into the new season.
Is that enough time for Wembanyama and his new squad to be performing at their peak abilities?
Perhaps they will not yet be hitting their stride when they the games start.
Regardless, they should take full advantage of the In-Season Tournament.
Some people don’t know how to feel about it but the Spurs should feel excited.
