The Atlanta Falcons have made a change of quarterback.
Kirk Cousins hasn’t been good in the past month or so, and not even beating the league-worst Las Vegas Raiders was enough for him to keep his job.
Nevertheless, as much as this move might make sense, Craig Carton believes it’s “dumb.”
On Wednesday’s edition of “Breakfast Ball,” the outspoken talk show host blamed Raheem Morris for everything.

He believes not hiring Bill Belichick and going with him was a big mistake, adding that he should be fired after one year because he’s not a good coach.
Carton also ripped the Falcons for taking Michael Penix Jr. with the No. 8 pick after giving Kirk Cousins $180 million, which was also a bad move.
He said their decision to bench Cousins at this moment was not based on the fact that he had “stunk.”
Instead, he thinks the schedule allows them to do so, as they have games with the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers up next, so they think they should be able to win those games off of their defense alone.
Of course, Carton is often unapologetic and rarely minces his words about anything.
Still, Morris’ tenure in charge of the team has been disappointing.
Other than those two wins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Falcons haven’t looked as good as one might think based on their roster.
For now, however, it doesn’t seem like the team will consider making a head coaching change.
