It took many years, but the Washington Commanders have found a new franchise quarterback.
Jayden Daniels has outperformed the expectations placed on him coming into the year, and he’s turned into a bonafide star in Year 1.
Similar to what C.J. Stroud did with the Houston Texans last year, Daniels has taken the Commanders out of their rut of mediocrity and helped turn them into a playoff contender.
While they aren’t in a strong position to win their division, the Commanders should make the playoffs, allowing Daniels to show what he can do in the postseason.
Commanders fans might be happy about Daniels’ dominant play, but not everyone shares this sentiment.
For instance, Freddie Coleman, a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, isn’t thrilled to see Daniels having such strong success.
“I can’t stand Jayden Daniels, he’s the worst human being on the face of the Earth,” Coleman said.

Coleman doesn’t actually think Daniels is a terrible person, but he doesn’t want to see what Daniels is going to do to his Cowboys for the foreseeable future.
Pending major roster changes, the NFC East will likely be a two-horse race between the Philadelphia Eagles and Commanders for a few seasons, at least until the Cowboys and New York Giants start to figure things out.
Daniels is proof that quarterbacks truly matter in this league, and when you have the right roster in place to receive a good one, that player can have a positive impact on the franchise’s future.
