Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs showed up in a big way on Wednesday night.
He scored a career-high 50 points, including eight three-pointers, as the Spurs pushed out the Washington Wizards and walked away with a 139-130 win.
Speaking on Thursday’s “Run It Back”, Chandler Parsons praised the young star.
“Victor Wembanyama basically had 50 points in half of an NBA Game… This was an absolutely dominant performance. I don’t remember a game this impressive,” Parsons said.

With this game, Wembanyama joins a very exclusive list of the youngest players to score 50 points in a game.
He did this at 20 years and 314 days, behind only Devin Booker, LeBron James, and Brandon Jennings.
It was an incredible night for Wembanyama, who is averaging 22.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, and a league-high 3.8 blocks per game.
As noted by Parsons, the Spurs still might not be a great team but the development of Wembanyama is something special to witness.
When the season began, people were wondering if he would improve upon his stellar numbers from last season.
There have been some concerns about his offensive output but now his average number of points per game is above last season’s.
Wednesday night’s 50-point game surely assisted with that.
Wembanyama was an all-around menace to the Wizards during the game and it was a great reminder of just how special this young talent is.
He’s already won Rookie of the Year and is in the running for Defensive Player of the Year this season.
Wembanyama is one of the most talked-about young players in the league right now and the conversation about him will get more excited following Wednesday’s game.
