The New York Jets will have their hands full when they visit Arlington for their date with the Dallas Cowboys.
Their questionable offensive line will try to contain the most unblockable force in today’s game, Cowboys star Micah Parsons.
While that’s an almost impossible task as it is, doing it with a subpar unit is only going to make it tougher.
That’s why former NFL star Jason McCourty believes HC Robert Saleh needs to make a statement and make him the focal point of his entire game plan for Sunday.
"If I'm Saleh… Every offensive lineman is gonna have a framed picture of Micah Parsons in their locker…
No matter where #11 is, please block him.
If he goes to the sideline to get a sip of water… BLOCK HIM."@JasonMcCourty's advice for the Jets this Sunday pic.twitter.com/v8TkHyPijE— Good Morning Football (@gmfb) September 14, 2023
McCourty stated that Saleh should put a framed picture of Parsons in front of every single player’s locker room, another in the cafeteria, and another one in the tunnel when they take the practice field.
He states that Saleh needs to demand full commitment from every single lineman, stating that they need to block him wherever he goes, whether he’s on the field, on the sidelines, or even in the parking lot before the game.
Parsons is the most versatile defensive force in today’s game, as he can line up as a linebacker or at the edge, and he’s equally as efficient.
Despite being doubled team last week, he still managed to get one sack, four QB pressures, and his sole presence opened up so many lanes for the rest of the defense.
Zach Wilson could be in for a nightmare outing, and the Jets’ OL will likely face its toughest challenge of the season next Sunday.
