It’s no secret that you can’t win consistently in the NFL without being competent in all three phases of the game: offense, defense and special teams.
Heading into Week 17, one analyst named which team he believes is the most balanced in the league, which is why he sees them as a formidable threat in the postseason.
“If you were able to ask a coach what they want in a football team, the [Los Angeles] Rams are the perfect coachspeak football team. ‘We want to run the football,’ well they can do that. ‘We want to be balanced on offense,’ well they do a great job of that. ‘We want to get after the quarterback,’ Rams do that well too. So I think they’re the most balanced team in the NFL. They’re playing really well at the right time,” Emory Hunt of CBS Sports said.

The Rams have a Week 17 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals and can clinch the NFC West with a win along with some help from teams around the league.
L.A. comes into the matchup on a four-game winning streak and is looking to avoid a winner-take-all division battle with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 18.
The Cardinals saw their playoff hopes officially come to an end in a Week 16 loss to the Carolina Panthers, so they will be looking to play spoiler.
Hunt is correct in his assessment of the Rams, as they haven’t shown glaring weaknesses and have proven they can win games of different styles and in different environments.
They are an NFC team that few will pick to go on a deep playoff run, but they are capable of doing so.
