In just a few short weeks, Buddy Hield has added so much to the Golden State Warriors.
The sharpshooting guard is averaging 21.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, sinking 51.7% of his shots and 50.7% of his three-pointers.
But he had done so much more than just score.
Speaking on 95.7 The Game, Guru on “Steiny & Guru” talked about Hield’s impressive defense.
“Right now, Buddy Hield looks light-years a better defender than Klay was starting games for this team,” he said.

This is both a compliment to Hield and a big criticism of Klay Thompson, who is now playing with the Dallas Mavericks.
Thompson was never known as a great defender and was always relied upon for his shooting abilities.
Of course, those abilities were suffering during the last couple of years with the Warriors, which led to his departure from the team.
As for Hield, he is able to shoot very well and has been posting a ton of great shots at the perfect time.
But he is also locking down his opponents and playing some incredible defense.
On top of all of that, he’s coming off the bench, which allows the Warriors to stay consistent for all four quarters, even when starters are resting.
Hield is simply the whole package for the Warriors and one of the main reasons why they are currently 7-1.
There are many people already considering Hield for Sixth Man of the Year and fans are very pleased with the front office’s decision to sign him in the summer.
