The 2023-24 NBA season could very well mark the end of the Golden State Warriors dynasty as the team currently sits outside of the playoff picture.
Despite another All-Star season from Stephen Curry, the roster hasn’t been able to click on either end of the floor and the team now finds itself desperately looking for help at the NBA trade deadline.
The Warriors have reportedly been aggressively looking for upgrades to the roster and have several young players they could dangle in potential trades.
Golden State has also begun to entertain the idea of trading Andrew Wiggins who’s had a dismal year across the board.
Wiggins played a large part in the Warriors’ 2022 NBA Championship run as a two-way ring, but he’s been unable to replicate that level of play this season.
While Wiggins is a logical player for Golden State to trade away, Marc Stein believes he’ll stay put in the Bay Area via NBC.
“It is hard for me to see a Wiggins deal materializing,” Stein said.

Dealing Wiggins is tough because he’s owed over $24 million this season and is under contract for the next two seasons including a player option in the final year.
At his best, Wiggins can guard opposing teams’ best perimeter players and create his own shot offensively.
However, his shot hasn’t been falling much and his defense has slipped in certain areas.
Keeping Wiggins isn’t the end of the world for Golden State who needs veteran bodies to continue competing, but the former All-Star could find himself on the trading block again come the summer.
