The Detroit Lions are sitting at a record of 12-2 after their home loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.
They are also very banged up as star running back David Montgomery is now out for the season with a knee injury.
However, insider Peter King believes this team still has plenty of firepower on offense to do what they set out to do at the beginning of the season.
“Detroit is going to score 30, 35, 38 points almost every Sunday…I’m not down all that much on the Lions right now,” King said Wednesday morning via Let’s Go.

Detroit has arguably the most explosive offense in the league, even with Montgomery now out.
Pro Bowl quarterback Jared Goff threw for a whopping 494 yards and five touchdowns in last week’s loss, which hasn’t been talked about nearly enough.
Pro Bowl running back Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the more dangerous running backs in the league, as he has 1,442 scrimmage yards and 14 total touchdowns this season with three games to go.
All-Pro wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is on the cusp of his third consecutive 100-catch, 1,000-yard season.
The offensive line is one of the most stout units in football, too.
While the Lions have not been good for long, head coach Dan Campbell has built a winning and aggressive culture in the Motor City.
A few injuries will not slow down this team’s beliefs and aspirations, especially since they are starving for a championship.
