The San Francisco 49ers are currently favorites ahead of the Super Bowl.
That’s not exactly shocking, as they have some of the most prominent playmakers in the game on both ends of the field.
Nonetheless, despite their solid record and what they’ve been able to do thus far, some people are still concerned about Brock Purdy and how he could fare in the big game.
Notably, that includes NFL analyst Greg Cosell.

Talking on Ross Tucker’s podcast, he stated that Purdy hasn’t played all that well in the two playoff losses, adding that he’s not “seeing it with the same clarity and vision” that he did during the regular season.
Cosell stated that as much as the Niners like to run the football, the offense is all about efficiency, with most of the big plays coming with yards after the catch.
He knows the Niners won’t look to push the football down the field, so Purdy needs to be more efficient if they want to get the job done.
Purdy has won a lot of football games, and he’s led back-to-back comebacks in the postseason already, so it’s not like he hasn’t done anything in the league.
However, we’ve seen more experienced players crumble under pressure when the lights are bright, and this will be the biggest game of his career yet.
Purdy will be under a lot of pressure, both literally and figuratively, as most of the blame will fall on him if they don’t get the job done.
