The San Francisco 49ers may not have the most Super Bowl wins in the league, but they definitely have one of the most storied franchises in all of sports.
For years, they’ve always had one of the best players in the game, a superstar to have Bay Area fans buying tickets and keeping their hopes of winning another Vince Lombardi trophy alive.
That’s why it’s not so easy to put together a list of the best players to ever don their jersey, but NFL analyst Peter Schrager seemed to be up to the task.
In the old days, I’d put a list like this online and there’d be a slideshow and clicks and clicks clicks.
Well, for old times sake. Have at it, @49ers fans. pic.twitter.com/UkuBslmiEP

Earlier on Friday, the “Good Morning Football” pundit took to Twitter to share his top-10 Niners of all time, with Frank Gore, Roger Craig, Terrell Owens, Bryant Young, and Patrick Willis making the cut from No. 10-6.
Charles Haley got the nod at No. 5, which is a bit of a surprise, considering the fact that the legendary defender only spent six seasons with the team in his first stint before his return.
Unsurprisingly, the legendary Steve Young made the cut at No. 4 after taking the team back to the mountaintop and carrying Joe Montana’s torch.
Ronnie Lott is still considered to be arguably the greatest safety in football history, so his inclusion on this list wasn’t much of a surprise, either.
And just like most fans expected, the legendary duo of Jerry Rice and Joe Montana were No. 2 and No. 1, respectively.
