The New Orleans Saints have had a tough time competing at the highest level since Drew Brees left town.
But this might be the year they go back to their winning ways, and a lot of that will have to do with their quarterback situation.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, Craig Carton raved about the fact that they finally have a quarterback.
Carton believes they will have no trouble getting on top of their division, as the NFC South will be the least competitive in the league, and they currently have the best quarterback there, even if they could struggle early while star RB Alvin Kamara serves a three-game suspension.
"The Saints automatically have the best QB in the division. … I love Derek Carr and I think they win the division." 👀

And while he points out the fact that Derek Carr has never won a playoff game, he likes his chances to put an end to that drought this season.
The NFC South won’t be as good next season, barring a major surprise.
Baker Mayfield will try and lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back to the playoffs.
Desmond Ridder and Bijan Robinson will try and do the same for the slumping Atlanta Falcons.
And while Frank Reich, Bryce Young, and the Carolina Panthers should fare better than expected, they’re still not on Dennis Allen’s team’s level.
Carr was often scapegoated and pointed at during his days with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Now, he’ll have an opportunity to prove himself in a different environment, and even if he’s no Drew Brees, he should be a major upgrade over both Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston.
