After losing the first two games of the 2024 NFL regular season, the Baltimore Ravens looked like a flawed football team that might have hit their peak during the 2023 campaign before getting taken down by the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
However, that didn’t turn out to be the case, as the loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2 seems to have served as a wake-up call, with superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson and company going on to win seven of their next eight games.
Perhaps one of the most impressive victories of the season thus far came on “Thursday Night Football,” when Baltimore pulled off an inspired comeback against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium, with the Ravens scoring 21 fourth-quarter points to get the win.
Although the Ravens have suffered surprising losses to the Raiders and Cleveland Browns, Baltimore is looking more and more like a team that could be destined for a deep run in the NFL playoffs, with a legitimate shot to win it all.
The main reason for the optimism is their high-powered offense, with one ESPN analyst claiming it is one of the best of all time.
“They have a historically great quarterback, a historically great running back,” Paul Hembo said, via ESPN Radio. “When you combine the efficiency of their pass game and their run game, what it spits out is one of the great offenses in NFL history.”

It may be a bit premature to dub the 2024 Ravens as one of the greatest offenses in league history, but they will have a solid case if they keep up this pace while Jackson and superstar running Derrick Henry continue to light up the scoreboard on a weekly basis.
Only time will tell what is in store for the Ravens, but so far, Baltimore again looks like an elite team in the AFC.
